What makes this venue different? A little bit special? It has to be these AMAZING grounds! The beauty of the rolling hills and ponds and scenery is just breathtaking and ever more so when there is the most beautiful sunset! Emma and Luke married in the gorgeous room upstairs, with the wooden beams and twinkling lights it was a perfect ceremony, with little pageboy/Best Man Rylan, their 6 year old son as the ring bearer the cuteness level was through the roof!
They had a giant bouncy castle outside so the little ones could bounce the night away and have a giggle together, which they all certainly did. Emma and Luke also allowed me to get a little bit quirky with some of their couple shots when I asked them to canoodle in the tiny little footwell at the bottom of the stairs haha
All taken at the gorgeous East Horton Golf Club
I spent a long time sorting through this little beauty's cake smash photos this evening, trying to decide which sweet smile would win the blog post, but I kept coming back to this, this pure, innocent little moment, that little face peering at me from her safe zone, it isn't a smile, but it is such a moment to remember, the soft baby cheeked cuddles, snuggling into her lovely Mummy for reassurance, her slightly worried expression aimed right at me! (I promise no babies were harmed during the shooting of her cake smash hehe) but Mummy fixes all, Mummy cures all, Mummy is the place to go when you feel sad, or hungry or tired, when you're worried or hurting, I know my own Mummy is that special place too, even at my wrinkly age and so I choose to share this one, because it means something a little more, don't you think?
So as Mother's Day is this Sunday, I think I might have to convince my lovely Mama Bear to hop in some photos with me! I HATE being on the other side of the camera, I feel so self conscious and end up pulling a ridiculous face or worse-look terrified! haha But life is too short to worry, isn't it? I want photos with my Mum crazy face and all!
Honestly, how cute is this flower filled vintage inspired cake smash baby? SUPER cute! Baby Fleur has been to me twice before, for a sweet and sleepy newborn session and then again a few months later to capture her sitter session after hitting that milestone. Here she is tucking into a scrummy cake and surrounded by flowery goodness! This outfit was made especially for this session, in keeping with that lovely classic, vintage feel.
When I read this gorgeous little chap's booking form and noticed in the comments section his Mummy was obsessed with foxes and woodland, I knew I just had to make a little woodland smash scene for little Joshua, complete with fox patterned nappy cover and matching tie, isn't he the cutest little fox cub ever! He wasn't feeling too excited by his cake at first, but we gave him extra cuddles and lots of Wotsits coupled with a giant cuddle from his adorable big bro Sam, little Josh soon felt a bit more relaxed and was soon tucking into the scenery (if not the cake haha)
The Beast from the East couldn't keep me away from this beautiful wedding! Gorgeous Beth and her lovely Groom Chris were a teensy bit worried they might have to postponed their special day due to the potential of being snowed in! luckily the worst of the snow was over and the amber weather warning had been lifted, I live very close to Hillier's Garden Centre myself, so packed my strong snow boots in the car just in case I couldn't get there driving and would have to walk (thank goodness my trusty Ibiza found the roads perfectly un-icey! haha) It was a lovely mini wedding with these two, no evening celebrations, just perfect, happy, relaxed daytime fun with their most special of friends and family. I loved every moment, these two were so warm and welcoming I felt like I was with friends and especially loved the left over snow which made from some stunning backdrops.
Every single wedding reception has their own style, their own ideas and designs, all beautiful and all perfectly them, I just love this little part of a wedding, just before the guests are welcomed into the wedding reception room at Jermyns House for the first time, the tables laid to perfection and stamped with the couple's time and love and style. I just love being able to capture them for my lovely couples, to look back on with a smile, as this level of pristine rarely lasts long once the food has arrived! haha)
Simple, pretty, girlie colours for this beautiful little one's cake smash, I can't believe almost a year has passed since I saw Lyla for her newborn session, still such a beautiful little lady who LOVED cake! hehe She destroyed that bad boy, the floor was well and truly covered in chocolatey goo.
Hello everyone, thank you for stopping by, and a great big welcome too. Here you will find my blog with lots of little snippets of my everyday photography life. Enjoy!
